Cultural Emergency Response: Protecting Heritage in Southern Ukraine
In December 2022, we collaborated with the Cultural Emergency Response (CER) foundation to extend vital support to our colleagues from four Ukrainian museums in safeguarding their historic buildings during the harsh winter season. These buildings hold significant architectural value, recognized at both local and national levels. Working closely with the museums, we addressed their needs and provided necessary resources to ensure the preservation of these precious cultural landmarks.
One of the additional focuses was to secure an adequate supply of fuel for their generators, enabling uninterrupted operation and protection of the institutions during frequent power outages.
By partnering with the CER foundation, we were able to implement proactive measures that safeguarded the structural integrity of these museums. Our collective efforts aimed to protect and preserve Ukraine's rich heritage, showcasing our commitment to maintaining the cultural legacy of the region.
